THE POLLUTION IN MY HEAD - IN SHORT
When I am polluted, my perception of reality is disconnected from what reality really is.
When I am polluted, my Ego is in charge: I do not think clearly and lack lucidity about what is truly happening.

In 99% cases, a Cold Case is the root cause of my pollution.

THE POLLUTION IN MY HEAD - IN FULL

The Pollution in my head occurs when I blindly follow my Ego. I believe I am at risk and I react strongly - while the situation does not require it.
My Pollution is at its peak when I have a “Cold Case”. While everything feels very real, I am living through the prism of my own head. I am applying to today a logic I lived in the past, and that has nothing to do with what is going on. “Cold Cases” are overwhelming, and will keep dragging me along until I resolve them.
In the moment, I am not aware that I am polluting myself (otherwise, I would not do it!). I only realize it afterward—if I even do at all. However, as I practice more and become increasingly aware of my own patterns, I will be able to recognize when I start polluting myself and stop it before I lose myself in it.
When I am polluted, I am alone. I am in my own head with my Ego. In that moment, I am not able to listen.
When I am polluted, I do not think. I am overwhelmed by my emotions and I am not lucid about what is going on around me. How I live the moment is disconnected from the situation and the people around me.
When I pollute myself, I project my own thoughts and judgments onto the situation I am experiencing.
I interpret everything that happens through an understanding shaped by my past instead of being open to the current situation. It inevitably leads to misunderstandings.
When I am polluted, I take parts of a conversation or a situation, and interpreter them. I tweak the facts by adding my own understanding to it. For instance, if someone provides feedback on my work, I assume they are attacking me because they want me fired. Now -this may or not be true.... but me losing it is not helping!
