What role does my Compass play?

How do I know which direction my Compass is pointing at?

What if I am not able to change my dominant emotion?

The Compass sets the emotional direction of my life.
It aligns with the emotion associated with what I deeply believe (which might not always match what I wish to believe).

For example, I might wish to win the lottery, but if I know the odds and believe it’s unlikely, the dominant emotion my Compass registers is doubt.
There’s no pretending or middle ground—my Compass simply follows my primary emotion and amplifies it.

The Compass plays a significant role in my life: while my Ego interacts with my thoughts, my Compass governs my emotions. Its purpose is to ensure I experience as much of my dominant emotion as possible. It assumes that what I feel most is what I want, and therefore, it must be good for me. In its straightforward way, the Compass aims to please me by giving me what (it believes) I enjoy most.

When my dominant emotions are positive, my Compass becomes a powerful ally. However, when those emotions are negative, the Compass can worsen my experience.
Importantly, the Compass operates without judgment. Its only task is to reinforce the dominant emotion I am experiencing. Its role is not to shield me from emotions that might harm me but to amplify the emotional trend I consciously or unconsciously set.

My Compass is always set to my dominant emotion, the one I feel most often—so my life tends to lean toward experiencing more of that emotion.

Of course, throughout the day, I’ll experience a range of emotions.
What matters for my Compass is the overall trend, so I need to look for recurring patterns.
I can also ask myself what I’ve been feeling the most lately—the instinctive answer that comes to mind is likely accurate, as I don’t want to overthink this question.

I can change the direction I lean toward at any point in my life. Priorities evolve, I change, and situations and aspirations shift.
My Compass can also shift due to planned or unplanned life-changing events—whether welcome or not.

That’s why it’s helpful to regularly ensure I’m still on a path that suits me and to consciously stay aware of the emotion I feel most often.

When people engage with Thee Puzzle, they are struggling—and emotions are part of the equation to solve. So as I begin, it’s perfectly normal to doubt that my emotions can serve me. Yet, isn’t that the whole point of subscribing to Thee Puzzle?

We provide tools that give you the ability to take charge of your emotions. We’ll teach you how to focus your attention so you can cultivate more of the emotions that fuel you—rather than drain you.

Always remember: I am the only one capable of triggering emotions within myself. No one else can do this—only I have this ability. So, if I can make myself miserable, I am equally capable of making myself truly happy. All it takes is the conscious effort to change. It starts with deciding that I will live an amazing life - and sticking to that decision until I am there.
